With no advanced Taijiquan class going on at the same time as 11 AM Qigong on Saturday, I took the opportunity to introduce the class to Master Liang’s Qi Permeation Technique. We did all nine repetitions and it took 1/2 hour. I think I zombified the entire class, including myself. After the first six rounds, I found it hard to remember the body parts for the guided head-to-toe relaxation. (What’s is below the head, oh yes! Neck and throat.) Students who have high blood pressure have used this exercise successfully to lower their blood pressure, but those with normal or low blood pressure, may have to sit down and even stop after a few rounds. My feeling for the rest of Saturday was the whole body loose and my center of gravity lowered. Maybe we should try this exercise before centering in Taijquan.
